Rocky Mountain Sportswomen is a network of women based out of the Yampa Valley in Colorado who are passionate about the outdoors, conservation, and community. We strive to learn more about our hunting and fishing skills, and encourage more women to do the same. With a variety of backgrounds and experience, our Rocky Mountain Sportswomen team and participants provide a unique story as a whole. With creative events, clinics, and partnerships, we provide an easy outlet for women to make new friendships, and learn new skills with the support of other like-minded women.

Elena Reynolds, Founder

Raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, Elena was always in the woods. It wasn’t until she moved to Colorado and fell in love with a true mountain man when she discovered a hidden passion and desire for hunting and fishing. Elena founded Rocky Mountain Sportswomen as a solution to the lack of their being a women’s hunting and fishing group in her local community in Routt County, Colorado. As a novice hunter and fisher, Elena strives to learn more about the sports and continue to grow her passion for the environment and conservation, with hopes to encourage other women to do the same.

Jaime Barton, Co-founder

Jaime’s love for horses led her from her hometown in northern New York to Colorado where she now manages a small ranch, gives trail rides, and packs for hunters in the fall. She also owns her own small business making jewelry inspired by the outdoors. Jaime has had a passion for the outdoors since a young age. She did not grow up in a family of sportsmen and continues to learn her outdoor skills through hard work, research, trial and error. Knowing how intimidating hunting and fishing can be, Jaime wishes to help create opportunities for other women to be able to discover their own passion for the outdoors and conservation through hunting and fishing.
